IL MERCATO

Vista Landscaping played a large part in transforming a 1930s open-air market to a beautiful special events venue in the heart of the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. Antique bricks were used to build the beautiful courtyard. During the Depression, the structure was renovated under the federal Works Progress Administration to turn it into an indoor establishment, which stayed in operation until the late 1950s. Most recently, the building was home to a printing shop.

Vista Landscaping was responsible for all stone, brick and masonry work, including the sidewalks, courtyard, stone walls and beautiful outdoor fireplace. Antique bricks were used to build the beautiful courtyard. Vista was also responsible for all landscaping, lighting, irrigation and drainage.
